How can I edit my invoice before sending it via Peppol?
When you upload an invoice to Doccle and want to send it via Peppol, you can review and edit all recognised data before sending. Doccle automatically recognises invoice information from the document and fills it in in the structured fields.
⚠️ Attention
Automatic recognition may contain errors or skip certain fields. Fields that require attention are indicated with an orange or red icon. Always review all data and adjust it where necessary before sending the invoice.
General information
Document type
Choose whether you want to send an invoice or a credit note.
Invoice number
This mandatory field contains the unique reference number of your invoice.
An invoice number may only be used once.
Invoice date
The date on which the invoice was issued.
This date cannot be in the future.
Due date
The final date by which the customer must have paid the invoice.
Order number
The number assigned when the order was placed by the customer.
Customer details
Peppol is intended for business invoices. Your customer must therefore:
- be a company
- be registered on the Peppol network
If this is not the case, Doccle will automatically suggest sending the invoice by email.
Reference
A reference provided by your customer, such as a purchase order (PO) number.
Company name
Mandatory field containing the name of the company receiving the invoice, as registered in the Crossroads Bank for Enterprises (CBE).
Company number
The company number, VAT number or GLN number of your customer.
If you receive an error message, check with your customer:
- which type of Peppol ID is being used
- whether the GLN number is correct
Address
The full address of your customer:
- street and house number
- apartment or box (if applicable)
- postal code and city
Payment details
My company
Select the company that is sending the invoice.
This company must be registered on Peppol.

Bank account number (IBAN)
The IBAN number to which the customer must make the payment.
For Belgium, this starts with BE, followed by 14 digits.
Payment reference
The reference the customer must mention when making the payment, for example:
- the invoice number
- a structured reference (e.g.
+++123/1234/12345+++)
Payment method
The method by which the customer will pay, for example:
- bank transfer
- payment by debit card
- cash payment
Invoice lines
The invoice lines form the core of your invoice.
Check that all lines are correct and adjust them if necessary.
Each invoice line contains the following elements:
Description
Mandatory description of the product or service provided.
Quantity
The number of units sold.
Unit price
Price per unit, excluding VAT.
Only euros are allowed.
Total (excluding VAT)
Calculated automatically based on the quantity and unit price.
VAT rate
21% – standard rate
Applies to most goods and services.
12% – reduced rate
Applies to certain food products, social housing and some renovation works.
6% – reduced rate
Applies to basic goods such as water, certain food products, books, medicines and renovation works on homes older than 10 years (under specific conditions).
0% – zero rate / VAT exemption
Applies to VAT-exempt transactions such as:
- intra-Community supplies
- exports outside the EU
- specific exemptions (e.g. medical or educational services)
VAT category
Only required when applying a 0% VAT rate.
You can choose from:
- VAT reverse-charged
- VAT exempt
- Not subject to VAT
- Zero-rated goods
- Intra-Community supply
- Export outside the EU
Message
Use this field to add additional information for your customer, such as:
- specific payment terms
- additional agreements
Totals
The invoice totals are calculated automatically based on the entered invoice lines.
Does the total amount not match what you expected?
