What do I do when the message "This Doccle account is already linked with another itsme profile." appears?

The message"This Doccle account is already linked with another itsme profile." you get when you are logged in to your Doccle account and you want to open a highly secured document (KBC, eBox, etc.) with itsme, while a "other itsme profile" is linked in the account.

Typically, this message appears when you have a new eID card or mobile number, as a result of which your old itsme profile has expired. As a result, the linked itsme profile in your Doccle account is no longer valid.

The solution is simple: you have to delete the linked itsme profile in your Doccle account and then link your "new" itsme profile. You do this as follows:

  1. Log in with your username and password, via the browser version of Doccle (not via the mobile app)
  2. Click on your username at the top right of your account and go to Preferences > Electronic Identity Card (eID and itsme)
  3. Click on Unlink at your itsme
  4. Finally, click on Link your itsme

You can now open your highly secured documents with itsme again.
