When I use Scan & Pay, why do I not see the correct beneficiary and reference on my bank statements?

To ensure the proper functioning of Scan & Pay, all payments are made to Doccle by Bancontact, after which they are immediately available to the beneficiary or supplier.

Because of that, you will always see our account number on your bank statement and not that of the beneficiary.

Because of the underlying system, the reference will also differ even though we make sure that the beneficiary always sees the reference you confirmed after scanning (or entered yourself).

The Scan & Pay tab in the Doccle app gives you a handy overview of all your payments and states the date of payment, the amount, the original reference and the IBAN of the beneficiary. This allows you to easily match up the payments that appear on your bank statement.
